Born because I have to burst
Escaping my own pressure
I have to run, I have to flow
Follow my destination
Named by the forests a divider
Judged by mothers of stolen kids
I’m begged by farmers to bring water
And blamed of curses if I miss.
You may build damns ahead my pathway
Mountains laugh playing with my course
I’ll smash against your very essence
And flow myself with no remorse.
One drop will bring your stones to pieces
One swirl will steal your child away
One fall will make you forget silence
And yet nothing can make me stay
For all I know is run and follow
A destination I can’t see
It matters not, today, tomorrow:
I know one day I’ll reach a sea.
